It seems to be something in the making for some time now considering that Toei has been steadily uploading classic content on their channel since April 6 2020. Their approach seems to be uploading the first two episodes of tokusatsu and anime with English subtitles before uploading the rest without any subs. Not quite an appealing prospect for folks who are unable to comprehend Japanese but it seems the company has been heartened with the approach.

The sampling of episodes will be available internationally, with content not only coming from the original show but across give decades of the Kamen Rider universe.

Before the official launch, the only original Kamen Rider content which is available globally would be Shin Kamen Rider: Prologue and the main Heisei Kamen Rider opening sequences.

While the release could very well be in line with Kamen Rider’s 50th anniversary in 2021, it could also spurred by the fact that Ultraman has been seeing good response with their own forray.

Regardless, this is still positive news for all with the exception of fans in Japan who would not be able to stream the channel in the country.
