Geralt of Rivia is returning to the small screen, and this time, he has a new look, as Netflix has released the first look at Season Four of The Witcher, which will now feature Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) as its white-haired monster hunter protagonist when it arrives on 30 October 2025.
This follows the departure of series mainstay Henry Cavill, who portrayed Geralt in the first three seasons of the show. The first teaser trailer for Season Four showcases Hemsworth’s Geralt facing down a wraith, and although the 35-year-old looks very similar to Cavill’s version, it’s his voice that returning fans would have the most time adjusting to, as he doesn’t possess the same gravelly tone as his predecessor, which does affect his overall screen presence.
Aside from Hemsworth, Season Four will see the return of Anya Chalotra (Wanderlust) as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) as Princess Cirilla, Joey Batey (The Riot Club) as Jaskier, alongside Lawrence Fishburne (The Matrix) as fan-favourite character Regis.
Season Four will also be the penultimate season of the show, which was shot back-to-back with its fifth and final season, and will adapt the three remaining novels, Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow and Lady of the Lake.

The Witcher Season Four will be released on Netflix on 30 October 2025, with its official logline reading:
After the Continent-altering events of Season 3, Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri find themselves separated by a raging war and countless enemies. As their paths diverge, and their goals sharpen, they stumble on unexpected allies eager to join their journeys. And if they can accept these found families, they just might have a chance at reuniting for good.
