Wireless earbud technology and its place in the world of audio experiences have certainly changed throughout the years. What was once seen as the low-profile option for those who simply wanted a quick and wire-free way to listen to their music has now evolved into devices capable of providing audio experiences that can even rival studio-quality headsets or IEMs (in-ear monitors). This is the case for Samsung’s earbud line-up, which has seen its biggest evolution yet with the Buds 4 Pro.
Once again adopting the more conventional earbud look seen with its predecessor, albeit this time with additional metal finishing, the Samsung Buds 4 Pro sports a similarly conventional price tag (in today’s standards) of S$349. What it lacks in aesthetic creativity, however, it more than makes up for in terms of comfort, weighing in at a mere 5.1g per earbud, the lightest of its contemporaries. This means that even extended listening sessions don’t cause fatigue, which is often the main drawback of in-ear earbuds.
Active noise cancellation-wise, the Buds 4 Pro have improved quite noticeably from their predecessor, offering five levels of ANC strength, alongside an adaptive ANC feature. An Ambient Sound mode is available too, also featuring five levels, with a further option for enabling voice detection to automatically switch to Ambient Sound when you speak, which is useful for workouts or general commuting. To top things off, the seal on the eartips is also pretty effective, effectively resisting even rough shakes or tilts, adding to not just the comfort, but the range of usability.
Much like its “Pro” naming suggests, the Buds 4 Pro features an added woofer that works together with a tweeter, meaning greater sound quality all around. It’s slightly heavy on the bass, but its nine EQ bands mean that users shouldn’t have much issue choosing a setting that fits their needs, and while the device also features a UHQ high fidelity audio mode, it’s unfortunately exclusive to Samsung phones only, which is a wasted opportunity to allow more users to tap into its full potential.

Summary
The Samsung Buds 4 Pro marks an early contender for the best audio device 0f 2026 with its excellent audio, improved ANC and comfortable design. It’s just a shame that its full audio experience is exclusive only to Samsung devices.
