Looks like the folks at Lamborghini are low-key Batman fans.
One can’t help but feel like they had the Caped Crusader’s 80th anniversary in mind when they were coming up with the design for the new Vision Gran Turismo concept car that they announced this year at the World Finals of the 2019 FIA Certified Gran Turismo Championships in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Just get a load of it and you’ll see what we mean.
The streamlined, angular profile of the new Vision GT, coupled with enlarged tyres and bat-like spoilers do give one the impression that it takes design cues from the iconic vehicle many associate with the Dark Knight.
Seriously, this looks like a mix between the Tumbler from The Dark Knight, and the Batmobile from Batman v Superman.
And recently, BossLogic did his own impression of the Vision GT, affixing turrets atop it a la Batman: Arkham Knight for even more badassery.
While the Vision GT isn’t going to be released commercially anytime soon, we’re not surprised if Lamborghini took a page out of Batman’s books to design this new machine. After all, this concept is merely “an exercise to see where the firm could take its design language in the future” (via CNET).
Marion has a serious RPG addiction. Sometimes it bleeds into real life; he forgets to sleep because he thinks he has a Witcher’s body clock. Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
