The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Live in Concert (Singapore)

[UPDATE: Congratulations to Wei Li Low and Sheryl Chua! You each won a pair of tickets to the concert!]

Soundtracks to movies and video games is the best form of sensory experience to build up and deliver the atmosphere of any scene. While the other elements do play a big part of it, the music is where it is all tied together.

A few months back, I had the chance to catch a live concert of SSO Pops Concert: Spirited Away – The Music of Joe Hisaishi which was awesome because nothing beats simply watching it live. Which is why I would expect that the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra would deliver no less. After all, this is not the first time they are performing the soundtrack from The Lord of the Rings, having done so last year with Fellowship of the Ring.

If you’ve ever caught Video Games Live, this should be a similar spectacle where there will be a live soundtrack performance paired with a full orchestra and chorus in front of a giant cinematic screen.

I’ve not seen a similar setup yet at the The Star Theatre, but the acoustics in the theatre does not disappoint.

As a fan of The Lord of the Rings, this is an experience that cannot be missed. There is a rather wide range of ticket prices available and I’m pretty sure the nosebleed seats would be sufficient enough just for the music alone.
