Following the unveiling of the PS5 logo and the first next-generation title for Sony’s console, Godfall, revealed at The Game Awards 2019, there is now one more reason to be excited about as we move towards a new console generation.
German studio Daedalic Entertainment has now confirmed via EDGE that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be a PS5 title, promising to be a “stunning next-gen adventure.”
Being developed in collaboration with Middle-earth Enterprises, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will aim to be a “narrative-driven experience”. CEO of Daedalic, Carsten Fichtelmann also shared that the team will strive to “tell Gollum’s story from a perspective never seen before, in any storytelling medium, all the while staying true to the legendary books of J.R.R. Tolkien.”
How precious will the experience be, only time will tell when the game launches sometime in 2021.
