The Flash Halts Production Following Positive Covid-19 Test

Despite countries easing out of lockdown and going into what we know as ‘a new normal’, Coronavirus loves to remind us that it’s not going anywhere just yet. Just recently, The CW’s The Flash had to halt production after a team member tested positive for the virus (via Deadline).

The team member was asymptomatic but Warner Bros.’ rigorous testing protocols managed to confirm the result. The production for The Flash is now temporarily suspended and contact tracing has been initiated.

According to various sources, the studio is currently evaluating adjustments to the production schedule in order to resume filming without the affected employee. Others who may have been in close contact with the affected employee are asked to self-isolate.

The Flash is another addition to a long list of movies and tv shows like Jurassic World: Dominion and The Witcher 2 that needed to stop productions due to the ongoing pandemic.
