Star Wars: The Bad Batch Trailer Introduces Team Of No-Nonsense Badass Soldiers Post Clone Wars

Disney+ just debuted a trailer for Star Wars: The Bad Batch.

Releasing on Star Wars day, 4 May 2021, fans will finally be able to see the elite and experimental clones of the ‘Bad Batch’ in action as they navigate the galaxy post-Clone Wars with complete disregard and disobedience.

The trailer begins with Admiral Tarkin expressing concern over the eponymous Clone Force 99 soldiers’ disobedience. Of which, the team made up of members Hunter, Echo, Tech, Wrecker and Crosshair don’t seem to mind until Tarkin calls for their elimination.

Not too long after, the group of misfits meet a kid named Omega, who isn’t just familiar with them but shows interest in helping them and wants to join in on their adventures. The Mandalorian‘s breakout Fennec Shand makes a couple of appearances in the trailer – still voiced by the beloved Ming-Na Wen – albeit a little younger from when we last saw her. The Bad Batch trailer also reveals the exciting return of Saw Gerrera, a Star Wars: Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels staple who’s leading an ongoing rebellion against the Empire.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is created by Dave Filoni, producer of The Mandalorian. If The Bad Batch is to hold up to the same quality as the famous live-action series, fans can maybe expect to see how the animated series will weave in past shows like Star Wars: Rebels, The Mandalorian as well as new ones like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Star Wars: Ahsoka to name a few.

The animated world of the galaxy fans know and love is about to be explored in much greater detail, and we can’t wait to see what The Bad Batch has in store.
