Sony Confirms ChinaJoy, TGS, and Gamescom Attendance

After skipping both their PlayStation Experience in 2018 and E3 2019, Sony has finally decided to appear at other upcoming conventions.

According to sources, Sony will be at ChinaJoy, Tokyo Game Show, and Gamescom.

At ChinaJoy, Sony will be hosting a two-hour conference at the Shanghai event, which is also the region’s largest exhibition dedicated to digital entertainment. This will take place on August 2 at 1:30 AM SGT.

While it is likely Sony will be sharing plans for the China market and the Chinese audience, it cannot be ruled out that we may see some announcements that will affect gamers globally. PlayStation also seems to be teasing several games that will be appearing at ChinaJoy.

As for Gamescom, its official website shows PlayStation’s presence at the show in Cologne, Germany. In a press release touting the official list of featured exhibitors at the show, Sony PlayStation is also included.

Again, details are scarce, but more will definitely be shared ahead of Gamescom, which takes place from August 21 to 24.

Tokyo Game Show has always played host to PlayStation, and this year is no different. The gaming giant will be present in both the Indie Game Corner, as well as the Smartphone Games Corner for now. Hopefully, a more substantial presentation or show floor booths will be announced at a later date.

It would appear Sony has more up its sleeves than just State of Play presentations. While details of the PS5 have been shared, many gamers are still awaiting a proper reveal and presentation. Perhaps these events will be the precursor to something big!
