Skechers is diving into the world of one of the most beloved authors of all time. The footwear company is releasing a brand new Skechers X Dr. Seuss Collection that captures Dr. Seuss’s fantastic stories starting with the classic, The Cat in the Hat.
The new collection is a worldwide collaboration that brings Dr. Seuss’ vibrant world to life in wearable, comfortable designs for adults and children. Launching in Singapore on 3 May 2021, the collection offers seven footwear designs for women, along with one style each for boys and girls.
Characters from the beloved children’s book such as The Cat, Thing 1 and Thing 2, and even The Fish make their appearances in the women’s line of this collection. Adapting Dr. Seuss’ visual style of illustrations, the vibrant and sketch-like effect on the shoe collection not only gives the shoes a playful and eccentric look, but it also hits nostalgia for folks who grew up with the books.
Younger ones will love the combination of the fun characters and Skechers’ eye-catching light-up features. Kids can now flex their glowing shoes with a blue-and-red palette design for the boys and in shiny pink for the girls. Though, why not have both?
Similarly, the kids’ line will launch designs featuring the Cat in the Hat, Thing 1, and Thing 2 with the story’s vibrant colours and patterns. The shoe collection will be released in the brand’s popular styles – Skechers Street, BOBS from Skechers, and Skechers Kids.
Can’t get enough of Dr. Seuss? In addition to the legendary tale Cat in the Hat, the Skechers Dr. Seuss collection is planning to release future designs with characters from other books written by the author such as Green Eggs and Ham, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, Oh the Places You’ll Go! and How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
The Skechers X Dr. Seuss Collection for women and children will be available from 3 May 2021. This upcoming line can be purchased from Skechers’ official website, Shopee and Lazada, as well as selected Skechers stores including Plaza Singapura, VivoCity, Great World, Wisma Atria, Paragon, and Jewel Changi Airport.
