Singapore-Made ‘Tom and Jerry’ Shorts Disses Durians In Series Premiere

Tom and Jerry are taking their rivalry to Singapore in a new animated series, and the first episode sees the two discover and duel over the King of the Fruits, the Durian.

In the first instalment titled ‘What’s That Smell’, Tom and Jerry get caught in a thorny situation over the aroma of durian. The famously pungent fruit that polarises opinion in Southeast Asia is well-loved by (some, not all) Singaporeans and it looks like the cat and mouse duo will have to reconcile their differences over the fruit too.
