‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Rock Band Hitsujibungaku To Tour Singapore

Fans of the hit anime Jujutsu Kaisen are in for a treat as the Japanese rock band Hitsujibungaku, known for their song more than words from the anime’s ending theme, announces their upcoming performance in Singapore.

This concert is part of their ongoing Asia Tour 2024, which marks the band’s first series of live shows outside of Japan and showcases Hitsujibungaku’s unique blend of music that has resonated with fans across the globe.

Hitsujibungaku

Hitsujibungaku, a Tokyo-based alternative rock trio, consists of Moeka Shiotsuka on vocals and guitar, Yurika Kasai on bass, and Hiroa Fukuda on drums. Since their formation in 2017, they have been captivating audiences with their expressive vocals and driving rock sound.

The band first caught mainstream attention in Japan with their 2019 double single 1999 / Ningen Datta. Following their success, they made a major label debut in 2020 under Sony Music Labels with the release Sabaku no Kimi e / Girls. Their second full album, our hope, released in April 2022, featured the song hikaru toki, which served as the theme song for the anime The Heike Story.

Their popularity soared even further when more than words was featured in Jujutsu Kaisen’s ending theme, attracting a global fanbase. Hitsujibungaku’s recent album 12 hugs (like butterflies) was released in October 2023 and continued to build on their growing reputation.

The 2024 Asia tour kicked off with performances in major cities such as Seoul, Bangkok, Shanghai, and Taipei, and is set to continue with additional dates across Asia. The newly announced tour dates include a concert on 3 July at the Esplanade Theatres in Singapore, followed by shows in Kuala Lumpur, Manila, and Hong Kong. These performances are a must-see for fans of Jujutsu Kaisen and lovers of alternative rock music.
