Merging the past with futuristic visions, Transformers: Cybertron Fest offers a unique journey through the Transformers universe for fans across generations at SGCC 2023. Here are some attractions and exclusive offerings.

Upon entering Cybertron Fest, visitors embark on a walk down memory lane through a gallery showcasing the franchise’s humble origins, culminating with yolopark’s imposing life-sized statue of Optimus Prime. This exhibit highlights the first, original and best animated series, The Transformers (1984-1987), paired with an impressive collection of vintage comics from the 1980s, including the seminal Generation 1 comics. The inaugural issue of The Transformers #1, published in 1984, captures the essence of the franchise’s early days and its enduring legacy.

Attendees are treated to an exclusive first look at the prototype of the latest Transformers Legacy United Titan figure, Tidal Wave, a much-anticipated character from the Armada series, for the first time. The figure impressively captures the essence of its animated counterpart, boasting the original Takara Tomy toy colours and features two alternative modes, the Dark Fleet and a massive airship, showcasing the figure’s imposing size and intricate design. This preview, set for a Fall 2024 launch on Hasbro Pulse, signals fans to save up, and not miss the chance to score this magnificent figure for themselves.

Celebrating 2024’s Lunar New Year is the Transformers Crimsonflame, a 5.5-inch figure symbolizing the Year of the Dragon. This 2-in-1 action figure expertly transforms from robot to dragon in 22 steps, accompanied by a shield, three spear parts, and a blast effect for dynamic posing. In dragon mode, the blast effect fits into the figure’s mouth, creating an impressive fire-breathing display. A stand is included for showcasing the dragon in mid-flight, enhancing its appeal. The packaging, adorned with Lunar New Year-themed artwork, adds an elegant touch, making it a prized possession for collectors. It is available exclusively on Amazon for pre-order at S$59.90 and will start shipping from 20 January 2024.

Cybertron Fest also presents an exclusive glimpse of the Deathsaurus figure, a highlight for Decepticon fans. Deathsaurus, a formidable Decepticon and the archenemy of the Autobots’ Supreme Commander, emerges as one of HasLab’s recent projects. Wait, you’ve never heard of this character? It’s the hardcore fans who will recognise this as a follow-up to the successful launch of the Japanese Transformers Victory Saber figurine, which brought the once Japan-only character into the global Transformers universe.

But wait, what’s that watching by the side? Attendees who missed out on it get a rare chance to lay their eyes on the colossal War on Cybertron Unicron figure, a Hasbro Pulse release, in real life. This display not only showcases its massive scale, but also details the intricate craftsmanship that went into the design and development of this beloved Transformers figure.

Spotlighting the intriguing fusion of Stranger Things and Transformers is the Transformers Collaborative: Stranger Things x Transformers Code Red mash-up pack that brings the Upside Down in another battle of good versus evil, as this unique collaboration taps on the easily recognisable Surfer Boy pizza van from Stranger Things as a sentient robot!
