With a July 2025 release date, the Jurassic World movie is picking up the pace, and the film might have found its lead, eyeing Marvel star Scarlett Johannson for the role. Johansson has been in a number of blockbuster franchises over the years, and would make her return to the big screen going up against dinosaurs if she becomes its lead.
Gareth Edwards (Rogue One) is set to direct, based on a script by David Koepp (Jurassic Park). Producer Frank Marshall will come back to produce this film alongside co-producer Patrick Crowley, with Steven Spielberg serving as executive producer. David Leitch (John Wick) was previously considered to direct, but left the project soon after.
Plot details are still under wraps, but we can expect more developments from the film as it draws nearer to entering production, as well as more casting reveals. The new Jurassic World movie is scheduled to release in cinemas on 2 July 2025.
