Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire previously moved its release date up by a week, and it seems that the move is working, with an additional US$16.4 million in revenue from international markets, but it remains to be seen how far the film can pull ahead of Afterlife.

“In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level.
