Another Jurassic Park Film Is In Early Development From Original Screenwriter

Jurassic Park fans, you’re in for a pleasant surprise. We’re getting a new movie, with screenwriter David Koepp, who adapted the Michael Crichton novel into the 1993 original classic, coming up with a new Jurassic Park film. The movie will be set in the Jurassic World timeline, though plot or casting details are unknown.

Producer Frank Marshall will come back to produce this film alongside co-producer Patrick Crowley, with Steven Spielberg serving as executive producer. No director has been attached to the project.

Following the ending of Jurassic World: Dominion, Alan and Ellie have rekindled their relationship as they testify in court against antagonistic genetics company Biosyn Genetics, which seems to be on the decline. The dinosaurs now have Biosyn Valley as an international sanctuary, and Beta is reunited with Blue.

The potential plot threads a new film could explore would be either keeping Biosyn as a shady organisation, or introducing Mantah Corp, another rival faction which previously sent spies to steal dinosaur genetic samples from InGen and invented a device that could control dinosaur behavior in Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, as the new villains. Or bringing InGen, John Hammond’s original company back into the spotlight, and have them largely involved in the new movie.

There’s plenty more characters from the original films and the TV show could introduce into the film, and we can’t wait to see where the franchise goes with it.
