‘Sailor Moon SuperS’ And ‘Sailor Stars’ Stream Free On YouTube For Two Weeks

Sailor Moon Cosmos is on its way to fans and gives much to be excited about with its all-star additions to the voice cast– such as legendary voice actress Megumi Hayashibara (Evangelion, Ranma ½)— and darker toned previews.

However, depending on how you went about your Sailor Moon journey, things get a little confusing.

Sailor Moon Cosmos is the fifth instalment of the franchise’s Sailor Moon Crystal remake– arriving two years after its predecessor Sailor Moon Eternal movies. The film is also an adaptation of the original manga’s Stars arc, which began publication in 1996. In addition, another branch is forked out as the manga was adapted into the Sailor Moon Sailor Stars portion of Sailor Moon ‘90s TV anime in 1996 as well.

So, depending if you followed the manga, the TV series, or the movies, Cosmo may be coming years or even decades since you last read/saw the series.

Luckily, Toei Animation aims to help fans jog their memories by streaming Sailor Moon SuperS and Sailor Stars— the fourth and fifth arc of the ‘90s Sailor Moon TV anime– free on Youtube!

This incredible gesture is already in motion with Sailor Moon SuperS available on the Toei Animation Museum Channel since 27 March, with a new episode every day.

Sailor Stars will follow the same format starting 5 May. Though with 34 episodes, the streaming of the fifth arc will overlap the launch of Sailor Moon Cosmos on 9 June— not a mistake, as part 2 of the film will be hitting theatres on 30 June.

Fans of the franchise should not wait, as episodes will only be viewable on the Toei Animation Museum Chanel for two weeks!
