Ruark Looks To Deliver High-Fidelity Dynamic Audio With Their Stylish And Compact R3 Music System

Just earlier this year, Ruark made their first foray into the Southeast Asian market with the launch of the MR1, MRx, R5, and their S$5,000 flagship R7. Now, the British boutique speaker maker is back with another compact sound system, the incredibly stylish looking R3 speaker system

A glance is all you need to know that the R3 exudes quality and premium craftsmanship one typically comes to expect from a Ruark product, from the curved handcrafted cabinet, to the woven fabric grille, and Ruark’s trademark Rotodial controller on the top of the speaker.

“Our philosophy has always been about creating music systems that first catch your eyes, and then your ears,” said Alan O’Rourke, Founder and Managing Director of Ruark Audio. “As one of Ruark’s most compact music systems, the R3 can deliver a dynamic audio performance and also fit seamlessly into any living area where space is at a premium.”

The R3 also comes with cantilever legs which work to tilt the speaker up at a small angle, in turn helping to improve its audio performance by directing sound straight into the listener’s face. The R3 measures 420mm by 167mm by 220mm, meaning it is a little smaller than the R5.

Being a company with an emphasis on a more traditional approach to music, the R3 does not come with voice assistants, though you can still connect it to a Google Home Mini if you wish to. It also comes with a multi-format CD player and a SmartRadio Tuner that lets users tune into multiple stations, even those outside of the country they are residing in.

The R3 uses a class A-B amplifier system with an output of 30W, meaning its more than capable of providing your living room with an expansive and natural soundscape.

Aside from its CD player and radio, the R3 also offers a comprehensive range of listening options to its users, with the ability to stream music from platforms such as Spotify, TIDAL, and Amazon Music.

Ruark’s R3 will be available for pre-order in Rich Walnut and Soft Grey from now till 10 August 2020. Pre-orders can be made on either online on Hachi.tech or Musica Boutique’s websites, or in Musica Boutique’s physical stores. The speaker is priced at S$1,299 and all pre-orders will come with a free 6-month subscription to Spotify and free delivery.

The R3 will be available in stores from mid-August onwards.
