ROG Strix G18 Gaming Laptop Gets 240Hz Display And RTX 4070 GPU, Starts From S$3,848

2023 has been quite a year for the gaming scene, with plenty of big games landing this year like Diablo IV, Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, Honkai Star Rail, and other much-anticipated titles. If you’re considering getting a new gaming laptop, the ROG Strix G18 (G814) will take your laptop gaming experience to the next level.

Equipped with an Intel Core i9 processor and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card, the 18-inch device is the first in the lineup to offer a QHD (2560 x 1440) Nebula display with a 240Hz refresh rate. It also features a 16:10 aspect ratio, covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, and pairs a three-millisecond response time with Adaptive Sync support for seamless, tear-free gameplay.

Overheating, a common issue with gaming laptops, is handled through triple-fan technology here. The full-width heatsink from the ROG Flow X16 has been enlarged for the Strix G18, which increases the surface area for heat dissipation and allows for better airflow.

Choose between silent, low-powered computing, and turbo-charged gaming under Armoury Crate’s performance modes, or manually alter voltage and fans for a completely customized experience. A brand-new full-width light bar along the ROG Strix G18’s back vents is among the several RGB lighting fixtures that adorn the chassis. Users can create custom lighting effects with Aura Maker, or they can utilize Aura Sync to keep their laptop’s illumination in sync with their peripherals.

For those particular about maintaining a spotless look on your gaming laptop, the Strix’s chassis’ anti-fingerprint coating will ensure your laptop will look sleek and polished even when you’re not. Other unique features include a spacious keyboard layout, and customisable hotkeys that control volume, microphone, or toggle performance modes on the fly.

The ROG Strix G18 is available at the ROG Experience Store Bugis, ASUS Online Store, and all authorised retailers for S$3,848.
