Road To Tokyo: Under Armour’s First Southeast Asia Virtual Relay Run

Amidst all the turmoil that is COVID-19, it looks like run events are moving towards the “virtual” space. At first, it was Southeast Asia’s first-ever Star Wars Virtual Run happening on May the 4th, and now Under Armour is also entering the fray with their own first-ever Virtual Relay Run, which will take place from 1 April to 15 May 2020 across 6 countries in SEA.

This virtual relay run will see participants run as one to contribute to a total distance of 5,317 km distance – from Singapore to Tokyo – as a lead up to the 2020 Summer Olympic Games. It’s the perfect time to put that new pair of UA HOVR Machina running shoes to the test.

Runners can choose from running a distance of either 5km or 10km, alone or with a buddy, on a treadmill or outdoors. Regardless of their choice, runners are encouraged to track their distance covered with the help of UA’s MapMyRun app.

It costs SGD 20 and SGD 25 for the 5km and 10km category respectively. All runners who complete the chosen distance category will receive an exclusive limited edition UA Virtual Relay Finisher Medal, delivered to their homes.
