Following hit games like Titanfall 2, Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, it seems Respawn Entertainment will be keeping itself busy with a new IP, according to a new job listing on Respawn’s website.

The job listing in question is for the position of a Generalist Software Engineer for a “small new team being formed to develop a brand new IP”. Not much about the new IP was shared though the listing did state that the studio wants to develop new technology that will allow “adventuring forever” with a focus on “gameplay and good feel”. What those terms mean remains to be seen.
Another notable portion of the job listing states that a reason to join the company is that there is a “hard-zero policy against crunch and overtime” as well as an importance placed on nurturing a work-life balance with employees. Both are important topics in the gaming industry, with several studios recently coming under fire for workplace crunch.

Aside from this new IP, Respawn will also be working on Apex Legends development, and it has been strongly rumoured that a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is in the works.
Unfortunately for fans of Titanfall, the studio has stated that they are not sure if a Titanfall 3 will ever be happening.
