Remedy’s ‘Control’ Nabs Sequel And Multiplayer Spin-Off

Remedy Entertainment has officially signed a co-publishing and development agreement with 505 Games, thus spawning a multiplayer spin-off and sequel for its popular and well-received title Control.

Originally released in 2019, the game is a third-person action-adventure journey that revolves around the Federal Bureau of Control, a secret U.S government agency created to handle strange and supernatural events. The game is critically acclaimed with more than over 20 “Game of the Year” awards under its belt.

Set in the same world as Control, the spin-off, codenamed Condor, will be a new four-player cooperative player vs. environment (PvE) game that seeks to explore another side of the universe.

While there are still no news regarding the multiplayer spin-off, Remedy says the project has the “potential to engage the gaming community in the long run”, leaving us to assume it could be a session-based survival shooter with high replayability. The new project will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Additionally, the agreement seeks to further expand the Control franchise with another “bigger-budget” Control game with more details to follow in the future.

Looks like there’ll be plenty of Control content for fans to enjoy in the near future.
