Razer Leviathan V2 Upgrades The PC Soundbar For The First Time In 8 Years, Adds Chroma RGB

Razer has been expanding their range of products, from staples such as mice and keyboards to hardware designed for streamers. Due to Razer’s range, it is thus inevitable that products that don’t get an update for a while start to fade from the public consciousness. The Razer Leviathan is one such product.

First released in 2014, the Leviathan fills the niche of PC soundbar system which is a space that was barren back then, and even now, still not at the point of saturation. The PC soundbar is a way to move towards home theatre-level audio quality without having to devote too much space to it. In that aspect, the Leviathan excels. However, it has been eight years, and the soundbar is long due for an upgrade, especially given the increasing demand for them. Enter the Razer Leviathan V2.

The Leviathan V2 is the first gaming soundbar to feature THX Spatial Audio with 7.1 surround sound, making gaming and watching movies a more immersive experience with its 3D soundscape. There are seven drivers – two passive radiators, two tweeters, two full-range drivers, and one down-firing subwoofer. The audio itself can be calibrated on the Razer Synapse software and Razer mobile app. It also supports Bluetooth 5.2 for fuss-free connection to PC and mobile.

Most importantly, it sports a Razer Chroma RGB light along its bottom, adding that bit of RGB visual flair the first Leviathan didn’t have. The RGB light isn’t gaudy either, as there is clearly restraint in its placement, serving more like an accent to the soundbar without taking too much focus away from it. The Razer Leviathan V2 retails for US$249.99, and is available on the Razer Store.
