Prehistoric Action Tramples Onto Modern Consoles With ‘Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection’

It is always nice to see retro games making a comeback, not just for nostalgia’s sake, but also for a new generation of players to enjoy a slice of history. For players who have been longing for the return of dinosaurs to their consoles, you are in luck. Limited Run Games has announced Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection, which will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.

The Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection will come with the following fan-favourite titles, originally released across NES, Game Boy and SNES, namely Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues. The 8-and 16-bit titles will add new features, including save states for each game, new in-game maps, and various quality-of-life fixes that bring these titles into the modern era of gaming.

In addition to this collection, Limited Run will also be going one step further for classic collectors by reissuing Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues on NES, Game Boy, and SNES cartridges. If that wasn’t enough, these cartridges will be upgraded with amber-coloured shells together with various Collector’s Editions that feature light-up cartridges, numbered slipcovers, and a collectible set of posters.

Preorders for the modern Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection, as well as the retro versions, will kick off on 1 September and will stay open until 15 October. Players can also opt for digital versions to save the hassle.

Obviously, even with such older titles, it seems like Limited Run Games always manages to pull a rabbit out of the hat. Life does find a way, it seems.
