Pierce Brosnan Is Dr Fate In Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam Movie

It’s Fate. Dr Fate. Pierce Brosnan will be playing a superhero for the first time in his career.

The Bond actor has been cast as Dr Fate in the upcoming DC movie Black Adam. Brosnan will be acting alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson who plays the titular character, Black Adam.

Dr Fate, also known as Kent Nelson, is a founding member of the Justice Society of America who gains superpowers through putting on the magical Helmet of Fate. Brosnan’s casting completes the lineup for the Justice Society of America with Aldis Hodge playing Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone and Noah Centino as Atom Smasher.

Black Adam follows the origin story of the DC character who in the comics, is a power-corrupt villain. The character slowly became an anti-hero and is closely associated with Shazam!. The Black Adam movie is also expected to introduce audiences to the Justice Society of America.

Originally scheduled for release in December 2021, the DC superhero movie is now undated with filming expected to start in the next 3 weeks after being put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
