We’ve a few weeks left till the launch of the highly-anticipated G1 show, Transformers: War For Cybertron: Siege animated movie on Netflix at the end of July. And to fuel the excitement, new posters of the Autobots and Decepticons have been uploaded on the show’s official social media accounts.
If one were to take a step back and examine the five posters as a whole, the Autobots (Ultra Magnus, Elita-1, Bumblebee) all face right, while the Decepticons (Starscream, Jetfire) face left.
Also, here are animated versions of Jetfire’s and Starscream’s posters.
Interestingly, Jetfire, who is better known as a Decepticon-turned-Autobot especially in his G1 days, bears the Decepticon logo, suggesting he is part of the villainous faction. This only makes sense, given that the character was the best friend of the aforementioned Starscream in the original series.
Now the question is: when exactly will Jetfire make the switcheroo to the Autobots?
All will be revealed when Transformers: War For Cybertron: Siege premieres on Netflix on 30 July.
In the meantime, you could consider picking up the new Transformers R.E.D. 6-inch poseable figures, or the new Gigawatt collaboration with Back to the Future, both by Hasbro, to further fan the flames of excitement.
[Update on 4 July 2020] Hasbro’s Transformers Instagram has added Megatron and Optimus Prime as well!
