After a good whole month of teasing, the team responsible for the hugely successful Castlevania animated series on Netflix has called it – Season 3 will premiere on 5 March 2020.
The series’ director, Samuel Deats, first dropped the news on his Twitter, accompanied by an amazing new poster art for the third season.
The characters featured in the poster include the main trio of Trevor Belmont, Alucard, and Sylpha Belnades, including the vampire Carmilla and the two vampire-allied humans, Isaac and Hector. Two new characters were also included, including a red-haired woman standing over Hector, as well as an elderly man with an eerie smile on his face.
Also, there is the small matter of the many-eyed fiend depicted behind the main cast – most likely the third season’s main antagonist (which then makes us wonder what the usually villanous Carmilla’s role will be). Could it be…?
Nah, probably not.
Castlevania Season 3 will no doubt be through the roof in the coming weeks, as we await Netflix to release a new trailer for the new season, which will feature a whopping 10 episodes as opposed to the 4 and 8 of the first and second season respectively.

Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
