Netflix has just released the official trailer for their upcoming superhero movie Thunder Force, starring Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer. The movie sees Lydia (McCarthy) reunite with her childhood best friend, Emily (Spencer) and form an unlikely crime-fighting duo when Emily invents a formula that gives ordinary people superpowers. And of course, Lydia takes the one and only formula for super strength. Together, they fight to save Chicago from a villain known as The King.
Be sure to watch to the end of the trailer to catch a glimpse of Jason Bateman as the Crab Man, who will probably team up with the duo to fight the bad guys.
Thunder Force is one of the 71 original films that Netflix is releasing throughout 2021, one movie per week, throughout the whole year. Another one to look out for in May in is Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead.
