Hold onto your billy clubs, because the Daredevil: Born Again trailer just dropped, and it’s bringing a whole new level of gritty violence to the MCU. Marvel fans have eagerly awaited Matt Murdock’s re-emergence, and 2025 promises to deliver a fresh chapter in the Daredevil saga. Charlie Cox, who initially portrayed the masked vigilante in Netflix’s Daredevil and The Defenders, has since made memorable appearances in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
The Daredevil: Born Again trailer opens with Matt Murdock (Cox) sitting across from his longtime nemesis, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), in a tense conversation over coffee. Their lives have diverged significantly: Murdock continues his crusade as Hell’s Kitchen’s lawyer and protector, while Fisk pursues political ambitions, running for mayor. However, their pasts continue to haunt them. “The city can’t go unchecked,” Fisk warns ominously. “Sometimes peace needs to be broken, chaos must reign.”

It then transitions to classic Daredevil action sequences, featuring Cox’s brutal hand-to-hand combat and intense rooftop chases. Fans will be thrilled to see the return of familiar faces, including Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page and Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson. Meanwhile, the return of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher amps up the tension, with Frank Castle appearing battle-hardened and ready for vengeance. Additionally, the teaser offers the first glimpse of White Tiger, portrayed by the late Kamar de los Reyes, further expanding the MCU roster.

Production on Daredevil: Born Again faced delays, including a reduction from 18 to nine episodes due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes. Marvel retooled the series, shifting closer to the Netflix show’s original tone and structure. Directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Loki, Moon Knight) were brought in to maintain the gritty, grounded storytelling fans adore.
With its new home on Disney+, Daredevil: Born Again retains its bloody, bone-breaking essence, proving that the story of Matt Murdock is far from over. As the countdown begins, fans can look forward to an electrifying return to Hell’s Kitchen and a continuation of one of Marvel’s most celebrated shows. Don’t miss the premiere — 5 March can’t come soon enough.
