The Marina area in Singapore is going to be rocking this weekend as two action-packed tournaments will be taking place on April 1st and 2nd! Fans of shooters will most definitely not want to miss the Grand Finals of the Overwatch Singapore Tournament 2017, presented by Logitech, at Marina Square.
On the other hand, fighting games enthusiasts should make their way down to the Harvey Norman Street Fighter V Competition at Harvey Norman’s Millenia Walk Flagship Superstore for the entire weekend!
Overwatch Singapore Tournament 2017
Blizzard’s latest phenomenon has taken the world by storm, and a team-based multiplayer shooter is always a great spectacle and the Grand Finals promises to be nothing less than awesome.
Watch the action unfold, or spend time at the Logitech G store where you can find refreshments, activities, or try out the plethora of Logitech products. Of course, no tournament is complete without the chance to win some outstanding prizes, take part in lucky draws, prediction contests, and photo contests, and you might just be the one to bring home a G610 Keyboard!
Registration will start at 11am, with matches running at about an hour apiece, with the Grand Finals match scheduled to take place from 7 to 9pm.

Harvey Norman Street Fighter V Competition (Free Entry)
When it comes to fighting games, Street Fighter is the oldest kid on the block, but by far the most popular one. We have Street Fighter to thank for our local-boy-turned-World-Champion Xian, and it is no coincidence the fighting game community for the beloved franchise is huge in Singapore.
The Harvey Norman Street Fighter V Competition will be welcoming all challengers, with the Beat A Pro Challenge happening on April 1st.
Participants have already chosen who they would like to go up against with the hopes of winning a S$50 cash voucher if they succeed. If you plan on watching the Pros versus the Noobs, you can catch Chusan (11am – 12:30pm), Leslie (2pm – 5pm), and Gackt (5:30pm – 6:30pm) taking on these brave souls.
Walk-ins are also able to join the challenge, so brush up on those semi-circles before taking them on!
If cosplay is more your thing, there will also be a 1st Time Ever Cosplay Party at the store, with lucky draws and cosplay displays from the folks from Anime Festival Asia (AFA). You can even meet Hong Kong cosplayer Suitao!
April 2nd will see the commencement of the 1 VS 1 Tournament, if you have yet to register, you may do so from 11am – 12pm. The whole shebang will begin at 1pm, with the grand prize of a PlayStation 4 Slim and $50 cash voucher up for grabs!
This Single Elimination style tournament will see competitors come and go at a fast pace, a perfect viewing experience for fans of the genre.
