Love, Death + Robots has never played by anyone’s rules, and it certainly isn’t starting now. With just over two weeks to go before Volume 4 premieres on Netflix, the streamer has dropped a new trailer for the Emmy-winning series that teases what might be the anthology’s boldest season yet.
Co-created by Tim Miller and executive produced by David Fincher, Love, Death + Robots has drawn acclaim since its debut for delivering unpredictable short-form storytelling with a heavy visual punch. Volume 3 earned critical attention for episodes like “Jibaro” and “Bad Travelling,” the latter directed by Fincher himself. Now, with Volume 4, they’re aiming to raise the bar once again. Ten new stories are on the way, each with a distinct animation style — or in some cases, no animation at all.
