In the trailer, Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as the charming villain who has been captured by The Timekeepers. Speaking with Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson), a member of the Time Variance Authority, Loki learns that his time messing with the tesseract has, well, messed with time and reality.
Likely due to stand trial, Loki is tasked to fix the problems he’s created under the strict supervision of Mobius. The trailer later cuts to various locations like the front of Roxxcart and many other planets and realities to show off the time-hopping God of Mischief in action. The trailer even showed the God of Mischief and what looks like the now-deceased Black Widow reconnect. Queue tears.
The trailer also showed glimpses of another character in a black cloak attacking those who come near them. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that it’s Natasha Romanoff herself. If the mysterious lady isn’t Black Widow, our next bet would be Lady Loki, though we’ll have to watch the series to truly know.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Loki-focused series if there isn’t some smart mouth and comedy injected into it. Pairing Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson is brilliant and we can’t wait to see what this series has in store for us.
Loki is slated to release on Disney+ on 11 June 2021.
