The official announcement of the first-ever LEGO Convention had all fans of the Danish toy company clamouring for more with an unexpected event. Although online, LEGO has a lot in store for the fans through its 90 minute-virtual event.
Attendees can expect to have all LEGO-related questions answered through a Q&A session with LEGO designers as well as Lydia Winters from Mojang Studios. Fans may also get to have a closer look at the company’s latest LEGO sets and experience a “magical” Harry Potter LEGO building challenge.
Additionally, for those seeking a more thrilling experience, fans may be able to witness a race to victory with LEGO Technic sets as well as gain out-of-this-world insights from a real-life astronaut.
However, one that fans can really look forward to would be the first reveal of a new set and it seems like it will be coming out from the Star Wars line collection. Earlier in 2021, there was speculation that LEGO’s next biggest set would have been something Star Wars-related. Many were hoping that it would be an updated Death Star, but instead, we got the 31203 World Map with 11695 pieces.
Considering that 2021 is not quite over, we’ll just have to wait and see till then.
Happening on 26 June 2021, the live stream of the event is free. Running on different timezones, Singapore fans may tune in to the LEGO Convention on 27 June at 12am. For more details on the LEGO Convention, head on to their official website.
