Kevin Conroy Reunites With Mark Hamill As Batman And Joker In Final Animation Outing

The world may have lost Kevin Conroy, best known for playing Batman, but his legacy continues to live on. Following posthumous voicing roles in Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the late actor will be joined by Mark Hamill’s Joker in the Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths — Part 3 animation film, marking a final reunion between the two Batman: The Animated Series voice actors.

As reported by IGN, the pair is part of an ensemble cast that sees Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Corey Stoll replacing Zachary Quinto as Lex Luthor. Other prominent names include The Mandalorian‘s Katee Sackhoff and famed voice actor Ashly Burch (Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawn), with the full list as follows:

  • Kevin Conroy, Batman
  • Mark Hamill, Joker
  • Corey Stoll, Lex Luthor
  • Brian Bloom, Adam Strange & Sidewinter
  • Elysia Rotaru, Black Canary
  • Armen Taylor, Jay Garrick
  • Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, Dr. Beth Chapel/Cheetah
  • Dean Winters, Captain Storm
  • Jason Spisak, Blue Lantern Razer, Hayseed
  • Brett Halton, Batlash & Captain Atom
  • Ashly Burch, Nightshade, Queen Mera
  • Katee Sackhoff, Poison Ivy

Conroy and Hamill’s beginnings can be traced back to the debut of Batman: The Animated Series in 1992. Since then, they have reprised their voice roles several times throughout the years, making this an apt collaborative swansong, with Hamill highlighting that, “Without Batman, crime has no punchline.”

The Star Wars star previously spoke about retiring in the wake of Conroy’s death in 2022, and the statement only confirms his plans to stop portraying the Clown Prince of Crime. No release date was announced for Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths — Part 3, but Part 2 will release on 23 April 2024. It stars Darren Criss as Superman and Earth-2 Superman, Meg Donnelly as Supergirl and Harbinger, and more.
