Bill and Ted’s school days of time travelling and assembling historical figures may have ended 29 years ago, but life continues on, even on the silver screen.
Enter Bill & Ted Face The Music, the third installment of the popular comedy franchise.
Currently in the pre-production stage, the movie sees Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reprising their roles as the iconic duo, who have shaken themselves out of middle-aged malaise to save the universe with one perfect song, all while juggling family responsibilities, travelling through time, and enlisting the help of historical figures.
With Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) on the directing front, and original creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon at the helm, filming seems to be off to a good start. Reeves and Winter appear to echo that sentiment, stating, “We couldn’t be more excited to get the whole band back together again. Chris and Ed wrote an amazing script, and with Dean at the helm, we’ve got a dream team!”
Prior to this news, which was first announced at the Cannes Film Festival, there were already longstanding rumours that the third iteration of Bill & Ted was in the works. Now that it’s become a reality, there’s certainly more fresh hijinks to look forward to, so party on, dudes!
