Jeffrey Wright Reprising Game Role Of Isaac In ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2

The Last of Us Season 2 will see a familiar voice return. Jeffrey Wright, who voiced Washington Liberation Front leader Isaac in The Last of Us Part II will reprise his role for Season 2, and the actor bears a striking resemblance to the character.

Wright has plenty of acting accolades under his belt in addition to his work as a voice actor, starring in The Batman, Westworld, and Asteroid City, so it’s no surprise that he would be approached to portray the character he voiced.

Isaac’s character is described as “the quietly powerful leader of a large militia group who sought liberty but instead has become mired in an endless war against a surprisingly resourceful enemy,” and while the character might seem unfamiliar to show watchers, if you’ve played the games, you know what’s coming.

The Last of Us Season 2 stars Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), Bella Ramsey, Young Mazino (Beef), Kaitlyn Dever (Last Man Standing), Isabela Merced (Sicario: Day of the Soldado), Danny Ramirez (Top Gun: Maverick), Tati Gabrielle (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Ariela Barer (Runaways), and Spencer Lord (Riverdale).

Season 2 is currently in production, and is likely to return to HBO somewhere in 2025.
