‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 Adds Tati Gabrielle, Danny Ramirez, Ariela Barer, And Spencer Lord

As the infected continues to grow in the world of The Last of Us, so does its cast list. Four new cast members have been added to Season 2 of the hit HBO series, taking the form of Danny Ramirez (Top Gun: Maverick), Tati Gabrielle (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Ariela Barer (Runaways), and Spencer Lord (Riverdale).

The actors will portray the characters of Manny, Mel, Nora, and Owen respectively. Manny is described as “a loyal soldier whose sunny outlook belies the pain of old wounds and a fear that he will fail his friends when they need him most,” while Mel is “a young doctor whose commitment to saving lives is challenged by the realities of war and tribalism.”

A military medic, Nora struggles to “come to terms with the sins of her past.” Last but not least, Owen injects some optimism as “a gentle soul trapped in a warrior’s body, condemned to fight an enemy he refuses to hate.”

The quartet joins Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, who are reprising their roles as Joel and Ellie. Series newcomers include Kaitlyn Dever, Young Mazino, and Isabela Merced, with Schitt’s Creek star Catherine O’Hara also playing an undisclosed role.

The Last of Us is based on Naughty Dog’s critically-acclaimed video game of the same name, with an official description that reads, “The story takes place twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel (Pascal), a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie (Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.”

The Last Of Us 2: Remastered Lost Level Sewers Fans

Story details for Season 2 remain under wraps, but it’ll presumably follow the storyline of the video game sequel. The show is set to bow in 2025 with additional content from The Last of Us Part II Remastered‘s Lost Levels, a feature showcasing early versions of the areas that were ultimately cut from the game.
