Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the first trailer for Invincible season 3, giving fans a thrilling preview of the show’s next chapter. The acclaimed superhero series, based on Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley’s comic book, returns on 6 February 2025, with its first three episodes. The new season 3 trailer highlights a much stronger Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) as he prepares to face new foes, personal demons, and a looming Viltrumite invasion.
Invincible season 3 picks up after the devastating events of season 2, where Mark embraced parts of his Viltrumite nature during a brutal confrontation with Angstrom Levy (Sterling K. Brown). The trailer offers a deeper look into Mark’s evolving role as a hero. Sporting a new blue and black supersuit, Mark trains his younger brother Oliver, who takes on the mantle of Kid Omni-Man. However, the new suit signifies a darker turn for Mark, as it marks a period in the comics where he stops holding back, leading to morally complex decisions, including killing.
The Invincible season 3 footage teases tension between Mark and Cecil Stedman (Walton Goggins), escalating into a physical confrontation. Meanwhile, Mark battles familiar villains like Darkwing and Doc Seismic, adding layers to his already overwhelming responsibilities. The trailer also highlights Allen the Alien’s (Seth Rogen) efforts to recruit Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons) into a rebellion against the Viltrumite Empire. Omni-Man struggles with guilt and loyalty, while he and Allen remain imprisoned in a Viltrumite stronghold.
Season 3 promises to explore the fallout of Mark’s decisions and the show’s ongoing conflicts.
