Insomniac’s ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 3’ Hinted At By Peter Parker Face Model

Ahead of what’s sure to be a massive year-end for Insomniac Games, thanks to the release of Marvel’s Wolverine in September, the studio is apparently already gearing up for the future, as the existence of a follow-up to its Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise has been teased by Ben Jordan, the face model for Peter Parker.

This reveal came via an Instagram post by Jordan, which featured him in the process of doing facial capture work, alongside the accompanying text “IYKYK” (an acronym for “if you know, you know), followed by a spider emoji. The post has since been deleted, but not before being picked up on by outlets like SavePointGaming.

The inclusion of the spider emoji all but confirms that Jordan is, in fact, doing some sort of capture work as Spidey, but while it may be easy to assume that this means a sequel to 2023’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is in the works, this could very well be another project at Insomniac that features Spidey instead, such as a possible cameo in the upcoming Wolverine game, as it was previously reported that the two games will share the same universe, or perhaps in the long-rumoured Marvel’s Venom. Both were the subject of a leak by hackers back in 2023, with the studio’s pipeline at the time stating that Venom would be arriving before Spider-Man 3.

Jordan first portrayed Parker in-game in the 2020 spin-off Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, replacing the original actor from the first game, John Bubniak, in a move to better match the facial motion capture of voice actor Yuri Lowenthal. Jordan would go on to take over the role completely, replacing Bubniak in the PS5 and PC refreshes of the first game, and in its 2023 sequel. It’s safe to say that, moving forward, Jordan would portray Parker in all of Spidey’s next adventures, including any possible cameos in other games.

Jordan’s post might be the biggest tease of Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 yet, but it’s still by no means a firm confirmation. Only time will tell what project his motion capture process was actually for, but for now, fans can at least look forward to the Insomniac title that’s actually coming soon, Marvel’s Wolverine, which is set to launch on 15 September 2026 exclusively for the PS5.
