Huawei Announces 980g MateBook X Pro For S$3,198 And Watch Fit 3, Kicks Off Preorder

Following its Innovative Product Launch event in Malaysia on 13 May, Huawei has announced local availability for its upgraded smartwatch and laptop models. The Huawei Watch Fit 3 and Huawei MateBook X Pro will be available in Singapore starting mid-May, with pre-orders open now till 24 May.

Now sporting a square watch face, the wearable device features a 1.82-inch AMOLED display, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a resolution of 347 pixels per inches, or PPI. The 9.9mm-thin body weighs in at 26 grams, joined by a new rotating crown that allows users to scroll through, magnify, or zoom out on displayed content. A total of six default colour and strap combinations are up for picks: Black (fluoroelastomer strap), Pink (fluoroelastomer strap), Green (fluoroelastomer strap), White (fluoroelastomer strap), Grey (nylon strap), and Pearl White (leather strap).

For fitness enthusiasts, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 offers over nine categories and more than 200 personalised scientific training plans, accessible for free through the Huawei Health App. It also introduces the Smart Sports suggestion, which recommends specific exercise types and durations based on user habits, weather conditions, and daily activity records, and a new nutritional analysis function to facilitate caloric management.

Other notable features include improved health and sleep tracking capabilities, higher heart rate monitoring accuracy, menstrual cycle information, and a 10-day battery life. The smartwatch will retail for S$168, with the Grey and Pearl White versions going for S$198.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro, meanwhile, marks the company’s lightest laptop to date. It stands as a flagship device at 980 grams and 13.5mm thick, complete with an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, 32GB of memory, and 2TB of storage. The 14.2-inch flexible OLED display boasts 3.1K resolution (3,120 x 2080), a 120Hz refresh rate, and response time of one millisecond – as compared to 90Hz and 25 milliseconds on the 2023 iteration.

Additionally, users can expect a 70Wh battery, a 40W TDP performance, a 1080p AI camera, as well as new Huawei Free Touch with eight gestures. The ultraportable is priced at S$3,198, and will come in Morandi Blue.

The Huawei MatePad 11.5″S also got its time to shine during the event, which saw popular Malaysian actress Anna Jobling in attendance. Expected to arrive sometime in June, the 6.2mm-thin tablet sports a refresh rate of 144Hz, a 2.8K resolution, a paper matte display, and the brand’s proprietary GoPaint app. Details on local availability and pricing will be announced nearer to the date.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro and Watch Fit 3 are now available for pre-order from 13 to 24 May at the physical stores in 313@Somerset and Westgate, as well as Huawei Official Stores on Lazada and Shopee. Pre-order bonuses for the former, worth S$1,168, consists of the following:
