‘How To Train Your Dragon’ Live Action Adds Julian Dennison And Bronwyn James

The How To Train Your Dragon live-action movie has assembled its teenage cast, adding Deadpool 2 star Julian Dennison as Fishlegs, Bronwyn James (Masters of the Air) as Ruffunut, Harry Trevaldwyn (Sweet Sue) as twin Tuffnut, and Gabriel Howell (Bodies) as Snotlout. Mason Thames (The Black Phone) and Nico Parker (The Last of Us) star as Hiccup and Astrid respectively. Gerard Butler reprises his role as village chief Stoick.

How To Train Your Dragon Live-Action

Hiccup, the protagonist of the film and the chief’s son, convinces his friends that dragons are not a threat after saving injured dragon Toothless, as the group band together to save the other dragons and their village. Hiccup and Snotlout have an antagonistic relationship in the first film, with Fishlegs and the twins being friends with Hiccup.

Production is already underway, so the quartet will have to get into character fast. Director and screenwriter Dean DeBlois (How To Train Your Dragon) shared that he was excited for production to get underway, and we are too.
