Grab your dice and get ready to immerse yourself in all things Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) at local tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) studio TableMinis, which is hosting an epic jubilee bash for D&D’s 50th anniversary on 1 and 2 June 2024.
General entry to soak in the festivities is free, but if you want to take part in the event’s wider activities, you’ll have to get an activity pass starting from S$25, which entitles you to participate in all the fun and can be purchased online.
Seasoned adventurers looking for a challenge can brave the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth Epic Quest Table, where 21 teams go head-to-head in a battle for glory over two days. The Lost Cavern of Tsojcanth is one of D&D’s classic tournament-style adventures, dating back to the 1982 first edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (AD&D) rules by creator Gary Gygax.
Competitive D&D? Sign us up! Real-life loot can be plundered in the form of a 3D printer, Vecna Statue, and a Planescape: Adventure in the Multiverse Alt Cover Set for the top teams. The true challenge is gathering an adventuring party as the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth Epic Quest activity requires a team of five with an entry fee of S$250. A virtual tavern is open on Discord to rally like-minded adventurers right now.
But if you’re in the neighborhood just to get a good sense of how epic D&D can get, there are beginner sessions conducted for anyone keen in getting into the game. There will be 10 runs in total across both days with each adventure taking place for 30 minutes.
For a glimpse into your past or future, there’ll also be a Tarot Card & Astrology reading booth, as experienced professionals unveil the secrets of the cards and stars. Or if you’re looking for something more low-key, local acoustic live bands will give you a little bardic inspiration to embolden you. Shop D&D merchandise by creators at a marketplace reminiscent of every campaign’s eventual shopping spree, with a wide array of trinkets to browse.
Put your D&D knowledge to the test with trivia sessions and speed drawing competitions promising epic prizes, and there’s even a cosplay competition where you can dress up as your favourite D&D character or creature.
