Harry Potter Studio Tour Tokyo Attraction To Make Magic This June

Hop on your broomsticks and ready your wands! Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter will soon land in Japan, opening its doors in Tokyo on 16 June 2023.

The tour, first established in outside London at WB’s Leavesden Studios in 2012, gives visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchises. The Tokyo facility will be the first Warner Bros. Studio Tour to open in Asia, and is said to be the largest indoor Harry Potter attraction in the world.

Similar to the London version, visitors can explore iconic locations in the Harry Potter series, including Platform 9 ¾, Diagon Alley, the Forbidden Forest, and the Great Hall at Hogwarts. These sets have been lovingly recreated by filmmakers using original techniques, giving visitors a glimpse at some moviemaking magic. Alongside the intricate costumes on display, detailed props, and elaborate models of magical creatures, visitors will feel like they’ve been whisked away to the Wizarding World themselves.

Of course, the larger facility also paves the way for even more set displays, such as The Great Wizarding Express, which appeared in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. There will be many more sets and showcases that you won’t find in London that have yet to be unveiled.

Fans will also get the chance to step onboard the Hogwarts Express, and encounter other interactive experiences and photo opportunities — such as riding a broomstick, stepping into the crowd of a Quidditch game, looking into the memory-reflecting Pensieve, and drinking Butterbeer.

What’s more, the Tokyo attraction will boast the largest Harry Potter shop in the world, featuring 14 themed sections that are decorated with over 7,000 bespoke and specially-sourced props. The shop will be host to a wide range of products including many exclusive items that you won’t find elsewhere.

Tickets sales to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter begin on 22 March 2023.
