First Season Of Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters Is Heading To Netflix In July

It’ll soon be time to d-d-d-duel on Netflix as it was announced that the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters is scheduled to arrive on the streaming platform on 8 July 2020

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters aired from 2000 to 2004 with 224 episodes and is based on Kazuki Takahashi’s manga of the same name. The series centers around young protagonist Yami Yugi who one day comes into possession of an ancient puzzle known as the Millenium Puzzle. He manages to solve the puzzle, only for it to result in his body getting possessed by the spirit of a Pharaoh from ancient Egypt who seems to love playing games.

Despite it being over a decade since the anime aired, the franchise still remains as popular as ever, with merchandise such as a life-sized Duel Disc and exclusive Blue Eyes White Dragon Funko released last year.

Thankfully, the first season of the anime is arriving on 8 July, which means fans won’t have to wait all that long to be able to relive the magic of Yu-Gi-Oh! all over again.
