‘A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead’ Game Teaser Trailer – First Looks

If you’ve ever watched A Quiet Place and thought it would make a good setting for a horror game, you wouldn’t be the only one. Based on the film of the same name starring Emily Blunt (Jungle Cruise) and John Krasinski (IF), the game adaptation leans into the survival horror genre. A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a new video game set in the same universe but with a new protagonist.

The gameplay reveal comes just a week before the theatrical release of the prequel film A Quiet Place: Day One, which stars Lupita Nyong’o (Us), Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things), and Alex Wolff (Hereditary).

PlayStation revealed a teaser trailer for the game, which features a first-person POV of the player character attempting to navigate the post-apocalyptic setting. Every movement you make has consequences, and pulling too hard on levers or missing and dropping flashlights will cause the alien creatures to appear. But here’s where staying silent gets harder — the protagonist is also asthmatic.

The game recreates the tension of the films and increases the stakes, as you traverse treacherous terrain to get to safety, and sound is an integral part of the game, so you’ll want to turn the volume up for this one. Published by Saber Interactive (Jurassic Park: Survival) and with Stormind Games (Remothered) as its developer, the game is a promising mix of action and horror.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series X|S in 2024.
