Final Fantasy VII Remake Gets PS5 Upgrade “Intergrade” And Exclusive Yuffie DLC

After leaving Final Fantasy VII Remake fans astounded at how amazing the game stuck to the faithfulness of the original game while implementing new gameplay, Square Enix is about to treat them with another bonus.

Square Enix has made the announcement that as part of the State of Play Sony event, the new PlayStation 5 (PS5) version of the game called Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be released.

PlayStation 4 (PS4) owners of the game will be able to upgrade their version to PS5 for free and all of its save data will be carried over. This new upgraded version “Intergrade”, will feature a fan favourite character none other than Yuffie Kisaragi!

Yuffie didn’t appear in the game previously and left many fans theorizing on how one of the NPC’s was her in disguise. Now this will completely throw that theory out. Although details like the story or gaming hours are still not released, Yuffie introduces herself as “Materia hunter and elite special forces operative for the new Wutai government” and declares herself friendly with Avalanche, the eco-insurgents led by Barret.

The new downloadable content (DLC) however, will be exclusive only for PS5 users and will be “available for purchase after upgrading to the PlayStation 5 version.” That means it will likely be unavailable on the PS4.

With Yuffie on the cards, even more fans will be flocking to get themselves a PS5. If they can get hold of one.

Final Fantasy Remake Intergrade is coming out on 10 June 2021.
