The playable demo for Final Fantasy VII Remake is out now for download on the PlayStation 4! And yes, it is 100% FREE.
Amid our long (long) wait for the release of the full game next week, Square Enix has decided to whet our appetites a little more with a demo version. In the demo, players get to play in the very first chapter of the game, which many will fondly remember as the Mako Reactor 1 bombing mission with Cloud Strife and members of AVALANCHE.
While this isn’t a limited-time demo, progress made in here will not be carried over to the full game. Additionally, Square Enix has also plastered a warning that the demo’s content “may differ ” from that of the full release.
In any case, this should be the perfect way to warm our gaming thumbs up for the action-packed full first episode of Final Fantasy VII Remake when it releases on 10 April 2020.
Also, let’s see if anyone can still datamine those juicy spoilers for future episodes in this demo version.
Marion has a serious RPG addiction. Sometimes it bleeds into real life; he forgets to sleep because he thinks he has a Witcher’s body clock. Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
