Witcher 3 fans rejoice!
One of the biggest games of this generation, CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition will be heading to the Switch. The news came via Nintendo’s E3 Direct showcase on June 11.
Rumours of the Switch Port first surfaced from a tweet by Doug Cockle, the voice actor behind the protagonist of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Geralt of Rivia. Prior to that, there have been small rumours about a possible Switch port for the game but it was only with Cockle’s tweets that fans started to seriously consider the possibility that The Witcher 3 might be coming to the Switch.
Cockle shared a fan’s tweet for The Witcher 3 to be announced for the Switch during Nintendo’s E3 press conference, to which Cockle teased, “Who else wants to see this”, adding a suggestive smiley face at the back of his message.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition is set to launch sometime later this year for the Nintendo Switch both digitally and in retail. The Complete Edition will come with the base game, as well as every piece of additional content for the game ever released. This includes both story expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, as well as all 16 free DLCs.
Aside from the base game and additional content, the Complete Edition will also come with some physical gifts, including The Witcher Universe compendium, game map, and stickers.
There is no confirmed release date as of yet for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition but at least we can now rest easy knowing that The Witcher 3, and with it Geralt, will be making its way to the Switch by 2019.
