Nintendo might be best known for its first-party games on the Switch 2, such as Mario Kart World or Donkey Kong Bananza, but the company hasn’t forgotten to show some love to the various third-party titles heading to the hybrid console via its February 2026 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase.
As announced with a 30-minute-long livestream on 5 February, the showcase was host to multiple game reveals spanning both debut titles, such as the anime soccer action game Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters, as well as long-awaited ports to the Nintendo Switch 2, like Square Enix’s RPG sequel Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Surprisingly, certain anticipated titles that fans might have been expecting to show up during the showcase were notably absent, such as FromSoftware’s The Duskbloods, but despite this, the show still packed in quite a substantial number of announcements.
Here’s everything announced at the February 2026 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase:
New Games
Orbitals
Launching exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 in Summer 2026, this two-player co-op adventure places players into the space-faring shoes of Maki and Omura as they solve puzzles and face the odds in a retro anime-inspired platformer. The game will feature both split-screen local co-op using two pairs of Joy-Cons on a single console, or online matchmaking.
PARANORMASIGHT: The Mermaid’s Curse
It’s a mystery adventure with a watery twist, as this brand new chapter in the PARANORMASIGHT franchise centres on a cast of quirky characters led by protagonist Yuza Minakuchi, investigating the mysteries of the Mermaids of Ise. Players will use their skills of deduction and conduct investigations as they unravel the mystery using each character’s different perspectives, with the game set for launch on Nintendo Switch consoles on 19 February 2026.
Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters
The unique action-soccer hybrid game returns, as Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters kicks the franchise into high gear with 22 national teams and over 110 playable characters. Iconic special moves from the original manga make their return, alongside newly added moves, so players can dribble, tackle and score with style when the game hits Switch consoles sometime in 2026.
TOKYO SCRAMBLE
Ever wanted a Dino Crisis game but with less shooting and more sneaking? TOKYO SCRAMBLE looks to provide just that, pitting high schooler Anne into a desperate fight for survival against a wide range of “Zinos” as she traverses the depths of Tokyo, using stealth, distractions and environmental traps to overcome the prehistoric foes. The game is releasing exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 on 11 February 2026.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales
A brand-new action RPG from the creators of OCTOPATH TRAVELER and BRAVELY DEFAULT is heading to the Switch 2, as The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales brings the same stunning HD-2D aesthetic, now with a real-time action-adventure twist. The game will launch on 18 June 2026, with a demo now available on the Nintendo store.
SUPER BOMBERMAN COLLECTION
As its name suggests, this all-in-one package brings seven titles and 12 versions of the classic arcade game to Nintendo Switch consoles, including unreleased localised versions of the fourth and fifth SUPER BOMBERMAN games, Boss Rush mode, support features, libraries, and more. Best of all, the game is out right now for both the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
Turok: Origins
As the second dinosaur-related game on this list, Turok: Origins offers Saber Interactive’s take on the iconic dino shooting franchise, transforming it into a co-op adventure combining both first and third-person gameplay as players hunt down prehistoric beasts and fight an alien threat across the Lost Lands. The game is set to release on the Nintendo Switch 2 in Fall 2026.
Kyoto Xanadu
Releasing this Summer for Switch consoles, Kyoto Xanadu offers a unique blend of side-scrolling platforming, 3D real-time battles and social gameplay set in an alternate reality where Kyoto is the capital of Japan. Players will dive deep beneath Kyoto and take on a labyrinth filled with monsters, while also deepening their bonds with other characters as they go about their daily life.
eFootball Kick-Off!
As a spin-off to Konami’s eFootball franchise, this free-to-play title is heading to the Switch in Summer 2026, and will offer more offline modes to the series’ more traditional online-focused format, including a “World Tour” mode where players set up their own club team and take part in competitions around the world and an “International Cup” mode featuring national teams battling for global supremacy.
Console Archives and Arcade Archives 2
Console Archives on the Switch 2 is set to expand throughout the year, bringing more classic titles to the console, such as Console Archives Ninja Gaiden 2: The Dark Sword of Chaos and Console Archives Cool Boarders, which are now available, alongside Rave Racer, which joins the line-up later in February. Additionally, more games are being added throughout 2026, such as Doraemon and Sonic Wings Special
