Though quite a fair bit of information regarding the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield have already been released, Nintendo still showed off a little more about the Pokémon game during its E3 presentation.

One major announcement that was made involved the Poké Ball Plus, the accessory that was released for Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! And Eevee! The device was used as a controller for capturing Pokémon in the Let’s Go games and players could use the Poké Ball to carry around their Pokémon when they are not in game.

Unlike how it was used in the previous game, players will not be able to use the device to catch Pokémons. However, it seems that the Ball can still be used to carry the player’s Pokémon buddy around when they are not playing Sword or Shield.

Nintendo revealed that “something good might happen” when players carry their Pokémon around in the Poké Ball Plus. It is still unknown exactly what perks players will receive but it might be similar to Let’s Go, Pikachu! And Eevee! In the previous games, Pokémon that were carried around will gain experience points for levelling up and will occasionally find items.

Aside from the reveal of the Poké Ball Plus, the stream also revealed the new water-type gym leader, Nessa.

Pokémon Sword and Shield will be released on November 15 for the Nintendo Switch.
